It’s not surprising for experts to say that India is beautiful yet deliciously mysterious country that beholds the secrets and stories of a lots of palaces and their kings, of treasures and their keys, of those who died a painful death and are now a part of the broken synchrony that is reality. Thats why lot of forts, palaces, beaches or even vallies in India has history and twist of mystery attached with it or something which makes it more interesting.

Grand Paradi Towers – Mumbai
The Grand Paradi Towers consists of three towers at Kemps Corner, Malabar Hill, South Mumbai was constructed in 1975. The towers consists of 28 storeys each, in one of the most affluent areas of Mumbai. It is one of the oldest and biggest residential society in the city, well known for its elegant architecture and a spectacular panoramic view of the city.
The events started with the death of a young girl who jumped to her death in the later seventies. Let’s dig into its suicides at a glance. A couple Mr. Vasudeo Dalal and Tara Dalal died by roping themselves and jumping off the balcony of their eighth floor apartment on Sunday, June 14, 1998, Mr. Dalal had even left a suicide note that their son and daughter in law are responsible for it. The matter was in court, however on the judgment day, the son and daughter in law along with their daughter died in the same way as their parents did.
In 2000, Mr. Jain committed suicide from that same balcony. On Saturday, October 28, 2006, a 24 year old girl, Charisma Kadakia jumped to her death while she was with her boyfriend. The guy didn’t assume what the depressed girl was going to do. Charisma’s father was an honorary council general of Brazil. In another incident, a housemaid was fallen from the window and died on the spot. It was not clear whether it was a suicide or anything else. There are so many other incidents where people died unnaturally. After a triple suicide in a year, a counseling session was arranged by the Counseling and Suicide Prevention (CASP) center for the residents there.
This unsolved mystery made Grand Paradi towers to land up in most haunted places in India. There have been more than 20 accidents and suicides since its construction.
The flat is sealed off and still remains to be occupied.
Bhangarh Fort – Rajasthan
Bhangarh Fort situated at the border of the Sariska Tiger Reserve, This is a 17th-century fort built in the Rajasthan state of India in the Alwar district. This place is Infamous all over India for being the “Most haunted place in India“, because of the numerous ghostly experiences and happenings in the fort premises, villages have sprung up far away from the fort, due to the fear of what lies within. The Archaeological Survey of India has forbidden the locals and tourists from entering the fort at night. The haunted fort of Bhangarh does have a very strange, negative aura which anyone can feel. It has ruined the entie fort and nearby places. People who have visited this fort had confirmed the paranormal happenings inside the fort.
About the town of Bhangarh, it was established in 1573 by King Bhagwant Das, who had two sons. His elder son was Man Singh, the famous General of Mughal Emperor Akbar and the younger one was Madho Singh. Bhagwant Das developed Bhangarh as the residence of his younger son Madho Singh who lived and ruled Bhangarh his whole life. Madho Singh named the city after his grandfather Man Singh who was also known as Bhan Singh and now the city is recognised as ” Bhangarh”.
The Bhangarh city was build by King Madho Singh. For this city, the Emperor got approval by ascetic Guru Balu Nath who meditated at this place. The approval was given on the condition that the shadow of emperor’s palace would never touch him at his prohibited retreat. If shadow touched over his place, the city would turn into ruins. The emperor started his fort construction with his money and strength. The Bhangarh fort was constructed with several stories and finally shadowed the prohibited retreat of Guru Balu Nath.
As per psychic power of Saint, the entire town was destroyed and ever since any construction around the crushed location or palace faces collapse. The samadhi of Guru Balu Nath is still there where he was buried.
A board outside the fort gate states that “Tourist are Prohibited to stay inside before Sunrise and after Sunset”. It is believed, the ghosts of princess and the wizard still travels. Even while shooting for a show which was featured on the ‘Fort’s Story’, the actors had some fearful experiences. Shaniwarwada Fort – Pune
Shaniwarwada is a historical fort in the city of Pune in Maharashtra, India. This fort is built in 1730 on the banks of River Mutha. It was the seat of Peshwas until 1818, when the latter lost its control to East India Company. This fort is build in the honor of Peshwa Bajirao Ballal Balaji Bhat for his great courage and triumphs towards the Maratha Empire.
The palace which was build up to witness memories and heroic tales saw nothing, but pain and ill-fate of those who resided within these walls. Not just this, it is believed that the fate of this fort is set as the most haunted palace of Pune at present.
In its first year, Shaniwar Wada saw an early and unfortunate death of Peshwa Bajirao, betrayal for his first wife Kashibai, an incomplete love story of Bajirao-Mastani (his second wife) and treachery by the hands of Nanasaheb (Bajirao-Kashibai’s first born).
The structure which was once famous for its architectural brilliance, is now dreaded for supernatural activities on the full-moon night. Locals believe that the fort is haunted by the ghost of Bajirao’s grandson Narayanrao, who was brutally killed by his relatives.
Sanjay Van – Delhi
Sanjay Van is located near the Qutab Institutional Area (around Vasant Kunj and Mehrauli in South West Delhi, India). This is a vast forest that stretches for more than 784 acres. It has several different access points including Neela Hauz next to the CPWD Building; behind the International Management Institute and Rockland Hospital; and next to the TB Hospital.
In this area you will find many graves. People claim that, sounds of crying children, as well as pushing and clawing noises coming from the grave sites ever since the graveyard came into existence.
One of the most well-known story of Sanjay Van is that of a woman. She often appear in front of the people on the road that runs through the Sanjay Van forest. According to them she’s wearing a white Sari and will ask them for a ride, before she suddenly vanishes without a trace, having never actually accompanied anyone. In fact, whenever a motorist actually stops near the Sanjay Van, the spirit will simply disappear, or that they have actually driven right through her. There are also some Delhiites who claim that they have seen her sitting right in the middle of the road where she used her cold, stony eyes to stare directly at them as they drove right through her or right into the forest that she inhabits. Regardless of who you talk to, they will tell you that this was actually quite a nerve wracking experience for them.
It takes courage to visit this haunted place of India alone at night.
South Park Cementry – Kolkata
The old cemetery constructed in the year of 1767 Located in the Park Street area in Kolkata which is known for its pubs and food joints, this cemetery was one of the largest non-church Christian cemeteries outside Europe and America. Today, it is no longer in use and is a heritage site. The tombs are done up in gothic and Indo-Saracenic styles and there are about 1600 of them in the cemetery.
Even though the cemetery holds a historical importance and is visited by many every day, it is believed to be haunted too.
Many people have felt dizzy or fell sick after coming here, people have captured weird structures on their cameras or complained of breathlessness even though they don’t have any breathing problems. Some have been spooked badly after a visiting here. There are others who haven’t felt anything but those who have experienced something strange cannot shake off the strange feeling.
Those who visit here have faced some unnatural things and some have died under mysterious circumstances. Mystery is still unsolved and made it one of India’s most haunted place in Kolkata.

Savoy Hotel – Mussoorie
On the Mussorie hilltop, one can see a majestic and grand hotel- ‘Hotel Savoy’. The hotel was built by Cecil D. Lincoln, the Irishman who was a barrister in Lucknow.
It took 5 years to build the grand hotel that had a majestic dining hall with Edwardian furniture, grand pianos, billiard-tables, barrels of cider, crates of champagne and other attractive and beautifull materials. It was inaugurated in 1902 and became famous for its dining hall and ball room.
In this hotel a presence of lady ghost is felt, Guests and Hotel attendants have heard strange noises and have seen a lady in white. It is said that lady was murdered under unknown circumstances.
